This was exactly the case on October 25th, when we had the honor of supporting Ms. McKenna Caplan at the launch party for her stunning new coloring book, Squeeze the Day, in Burlington, Ontario.

The event was a beautiful celebration of a rising creative voice. Ms. Caplan, @capsoffcolouring.co on Instagram, is an upcoming artist who is captivating the coloring community with her unique designs. This launch party was a vibrant gathering where her hospital colleagues and art enthusiasts connected over a shared love for creativity.

Setting the Scene for Creativity

Our mission at Arrtx is to provide artists with reliable, vibrant, and versatile tools that unlock their potential. For this special launch, we were delighted to provide guests with our Alp & Oros alcohol markers and brush tip acrylic markers. We envisioned a setup where attendees could experiment with different techniques and textures, and seeing it come to life was incredible.

A shared sense of enjoyment, relaxation, and artistic expression filled the room. Guests first dived into the intricate pages of the Squeeze the Day book—though many also brought their own favourite pages to color, adding a personal touch to the evening. They began by laying down beautiful, blended backgrounds using the versatile brush tip or chisel tip of alcohol markers. The alcohol-based ink allowed for seamless gradients and a smooth, streak-free base, giving each piece a professional and cohesive foundation.

Once the backgrounds were set, guests moved on to the finer details. Using the fine tip or brush tip of alcohol markers, they added definition and intricate patterns, bringing the illustrations to life with stunning clarity.

Then came the "wow" moment of the evening: the introduction of our brush tip acrylic markers. As Ms. Caplan noted in her recap, these quickly became the stars of the show. Their opaque, highly pigmented formula and consistent flow allowed even the most detailed designs to come to a true highlight of the night.

Guests used them to add final touches of bright, luminous color that seemed to pop off the page. The acrylic paint’s smooth, consistent coverage made filling details & highlights not just easy, but deeply satisfying. The room was buzzing with what we at Arrtx love most: the sound of creativity in action, accompanied by the shared joy of making something beautiful.

This inspiring evening was made even more meaningful by Ms. Caplan’s incredible commitment to giving back. She announced that 50% of the profits from her Squeeze the Day coloring book will be donated to Women's Health Collective Canada, supporting women's health research. This initiative aligns perfectly with our own belief that art can be a powerful force for good, extending its positive impact far beyond the page.

We at Arrtx are immensely grateful to Ms. Caplan for allowing us to be a part of her special launch. Seeing our tools used to foster such happiness, peace, and community is the greatest reward we could ask for. The success of the Squeeze the Day launch party is a bright reminder to us all to pause, pick up our markers, and find a little bit of happiness in the creative process.

Squeeze the Day: A Celebration of Creativity and Community 🍋

The launch party for my new colouring book, Squeeze the Day, was an evening filled with colour, creativity, and connection. I am deeply grateful to everyone who attended and to Arrtx for their generous support in providing premium markers and art supplies for all our guests to enjoy. Their contribution helped create a truly interactive and inspiring experience for everyone involved.

Guests had the choice to colour pages from the new Squeeze the Day book or bring along one of their own favorites. Regardless of their choice, a shared sense of enjoyment, relaxation, and artistic expression filled the room. It was heartwarming to see conversations flow as freely as the colours on the page, with guests of all ages finding calm and joy through creativity.
